What are your fitness goals? What do you want to accomplish?
My current fitness goals are to enter bikini competitions. I’ve always sat back and observed females just go for it, and have always wanted to compete. I’m addicted to adrenaline rushes, and I used to love being on stage when I was a cheerleader, and it’s something that I want to get back into. I also would like to do as many 5k’s, dirty dashes, tough mudder, and maybe eventually even the Spartan Race. I have to stay focused and remember where I’ve come from to be able to motivate me to keep going. To stop, and just backtrack is just not in my mindset anymore, but it’s something you’ve got to train your mind to do, but I also think it’s important to find that if you do fall off track, that the best thing you can do is to get right back on the wagon. Never stop!
Are there any other sports or hobbies you do besides the usual fitness-related activities?
I love, love, love all the boy stuff. I’m looking into buying another dirt bike, because I love the adrenaline rushes that come with it. I have been called an “undercover redneck” by the girl who does my hair. I also love to camp, Fly fish, hike up in the mountains, and shoot guns -I own three, and am always looking for more.
Any final advice for our readers on staying positive and getting in shape?
My advice? Get your mind right. This might not be the typical advice that people get, but your mind is what is going to fuel you through your workouts, and is what is going to keep you going. Don’t follow the fad diets, and the best way to get results, is to stay faithful and loyal to yourself. Remember that sometimes when you cannot control anything in your world, what you can control, is your body, your mind, and what you put in your mouth. You’re going to have ups and downs, but the most important thing you can ever do for yourself, is never give up, and always strive to be better than the person you were yesterday. Never compare yourself to others. This is you journey. No one can or will walk it for you.
